Class 2 Refuse Driver

Job Summary

Corr Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join one of our refuse collection teams based in the New Forest area. This role involves working as part of a crew to carry out curb side waste and recycling collections from residential properties. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing, full-time work in a vital public service role.

Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver, Location: New Forest, Job Type: Full-Time, Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour, Shift: Monday-Friday, Time: between 6/8am start (8 hour shift) – (timings will be updated soon)

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 vehicle to collect waste, recycling, and garden refuse
• Safely reverse with guidance from a trained crew member
• Support loaders when needed to maintain efficient collections
• Follow designated routes across rural and urban areas
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks
• Complete route paperwork and system logs accurately
• Respond promptly to supervisor instructions and route changes
• Comply with all driving laws and working time regulations

Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Physically fit – some manual handling involved
• Good team player with a professional attitude
• Refuse collection experience (preferred, not essential)
• Knowledge of the New Forest area is a plus
