Lead Technician

Wakefield

37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 8 hours a day. Must be flexible to meet depot needs; shift times vary.

£45,259.50 per annum

We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Maintenance Technician to join us, based at our Wakefield Depot. Reporting into the Engineering Manager, your overall responsibility will be to lead a multi-skilled team of technicians, plan and schedule maintenance activities, liaise with and supervise external contractors, review and update daily/weekly/monthly reports. The role may offer opportunities for technical and leadership training, along with supporting the national team.

The heart of the role

Scheduling maintenance for Automation and Facility systems
Supervision of external contractors on site
Security auditing
Resource Planning
Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to key stakeholders

What makes you tick

Minimum recognised Level 3 engineering, electrical, or mechanical qualification.
Proven experience managing a maintenance department.
Experience working with automated conveyor systems.
Experience fault finding within electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Desirable qualifications: IOSH or NEBOSH.
