SEN Teaching Assistant – (Brewood School – Deal, Kent)

Horizon Care and Education is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Brewood School, an independent specialist day school in Deal, Kent, supporting pupils aged 11‑18 with a range of Special Educational Needs.

What You’ll Get To Do

• Assisting students in their educational and social development.
• Providing support inside and outside of the classroom so they can fully engage in a wide range of activities.
• Helping to set up activities for students, using technology or adjusting the environment to suit their needs.
• Supporting teachers, engaging with students, providing learning support, and reacting to situations in the classroom in a positive, non‑disruptive manner.
• Working 1:1 with some students, giving them the time and support they need to learn.

What we’re looking for from you

• Experience of working with children who have behavioural support needs with a good knowledge of behavioural management techniques and strategies.
• Grade C or above GCSE in English and Math, or L1/2 equivalent functional skills qualification.
• Hold or be willing to work towards a recognised teaching assistant qualification.
