PREMIER PLACEMENT SERVICES ARE RECRUITING FOR A NUMBER CLASS 2 DRIVERS FOR OUR LOGISTICS CLIENT IN STOKE-ON-TRENT.

MONTY TO FRIDAY DAY WORK.

IMMEDIATE START AND ONGOING WORK.

Premier Placement Services are hiring HGV Class 2 drivers for their prestigious clients based in the Stoke area. These are potential temp to perm positions for the right driver with a contract offered after 12 weeks, paying from £14.50ph PLUS holidays are accrued on top.

As a HGV Class 2 driver, you will be responsible for driving curtain side vehicles with a tail lift doing multi-drop deliveries and collections of palletised stock within the Midlands region.

Role and Responsibilities

• Driving a 18 tonne curtainside vehicle.
• Palletways network delivery.
• Little if any hand ball on the roles.
• Transport goods and materials to designated clients in a safe and timely manner.
• Conduct vehicle inspections before and after each trip.
• Comply with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of driving hours and working time directive (WTD).
• Report any incidents or accidents to the client.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• HGV Class 2 licence.
• Valid CPC and Tacho card.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points. No DR or DD Offences.
• Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred but not essential.

Working Hours and Pay

• Monday to Friday.
• Day shifts.
• £14.50- £22 per hour.
• Holiday pay on top of hourly rate.
