We have an exciting permanent opportunity to join our fast-paced Neighbourhood Services Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver front-line services in Cleansing, Street Cleaning, Bulk Uplift, Transport, Parks, Roads and Winter Gritting.
• Undertake safe operation and driving duties for Neighbourhood Services vehicles including Refuse Vehicles, Tractors, Tractor Mounted Equipment, Trucks, Quads, Mechanical Sweeping Vehicles, Street Cleaning Vehicles, Category C LGVs and Vans.
• Operate across the full range of Neighbourhood Services to provide effective, modern front-line services to residents of East Renfrewshire.

Requirements

• Fitness to drive group 2 (category C/D) vehicles is essential, and a GP fitness-to-drive form will be required on conditional offer.
• Liability for any GP fees for completing the fitness-to-drive form.
• Proof of right to work in the UK will be required before employment commences.
• East Renfrewshire Council does not provide visa sponsorship.
• Provide details of a minimum of two referees, one being the most recent/current employer. Referees must be former/current managers and have a work email address.
