Technician – Simulation and Clinical Skills (Internal Applicants Only)

Job Details

Part-time: 28 hours per week. Fixed-term: 1 year (1 September 2026 – 31 August 2027).

Responsibilities

  • Provide a service to staff and students by maintaining, servicing (including PAT Testing) and repairing materials, machinery and equipment, advising and training staff and students on their appropriate use and reporting any equipment faults to senior team members.
  • Prepare, move and set up equipment and consumables that support essential teaching and assessment activities across multiple learning environments, including tearing down after each session.
  • Prepare all materials and equipment as necessary for customers use and ensure area of responsibility is kept clean and tidy.
  • Undertake stock control, ensuring adequate security and levels of stock are maintained and stock is distributed as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience of using and maintaining equipment.
  • Experience of using IT packages including Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to deal with customers and other employees in a professional manner.
  • Evidence of working well as an effective team member, providing advice and guidance to other team members where necessary.

Salary

£25,249 to £26,093 per annum, pro‑rata (Grade 3).
