Apprentice Community Activator Coach
Location: Crewe
Salary: £8 per hour (for first year)
Contract: Fixed-term (15 months including End-Point Assessment)
Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our school as an Apprentice Community Activator Coach (CAC). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving the health and wellbeing of our pupils, families and wider community through sport and physical activity.
As a Community Activator Coach, you will plan, deliver and evaluate engaging, inclusive and fun physical activities that inspire positive behaviour change and encourage active lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality sport, physical activity and PE support across the school
- Plan and lead sessions for pupils of all ages and abilities
- Support lunchtime, after‑school clubs and holiday provision
- Assist in delivering a varied extracurricular sports programme
- Work with staff and external partners to enhance physical activity opportunities
- Support pupils’ participation in competitive sports events
- Help develop initiatives such as pupil leadership and volunteer programmes
- Encourage participation and engagement across the whole school community

Training & Qualifications
You will complete the Level 2 Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship Standard, which includes:
- Structured training over 15 months (including End‑Point Assessment)
- Practical coaching experience and workplace learning
- Access to CPD including safeguarding, behaviour management, and mental health awareness
- Optional Level 2 Award in Multi‑skills Coaching in Sport
