As a recognised industry leader in building automation and control solutions, our client delivers innovative engineering systems to a diverse range of commercial and industrial projects.Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, an opportunity has arisen for a Control Panel Design Engineer to join their expanding Projects team.
Your New Role
As a Control Panel Design Engineer, you will play a key role in transforming customer requirements into bespoke control panel solutions for building management systems and automation responsibilities will include:Designing bespoke control panels based on customer specificationsProducing detailed electrical schematic drawings for manufactureLiaising with mechanical and electrical contractors throughout project deliverySupporting the manufacturing team with accurate technical documentationAssisting with system testing, fault finding and continuous design improvementsEnsuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To be considered for this position, you should have:
Previous experience within BMS, HVAC, Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation or Process ControlProven electrical design experience with the ability to develop schematic drawings for manufactureExperience using electrical CAD software such as EPLAN, WS CAD, Promis, SolidWorks Electrical or similarA strong understanding of electrical control systems and instrumentationThe ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlinesExcellent communication skills and experience working with customers, contractors and internal stakeholdersExperience within controls, automation or instrumentation design would be highly advantageous.
