Tamworth | £45,000 – £50,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transport Driver Manager to join a successful and growing transport operation based in Tamworth.

Reporting into senior management, you will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of a fleet and 70 drivers, ensuring operational efficiency, driver engagement, and full compliance with transport legislation and O Licence requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of professional drivers.
• Ensure compliance with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and O Licence regulations.
• Act as a named CPC holder supporting the transport operation.
• Drive performance through effective driver management, coaching, and communication.
• Monitor KPIs, service levels, and operational standards.
• Promote a strong safety and compliance culture across the fleet.

About You

• Previous experience in a Transport Manager, Driver Manager, or similar transport leadership role.
• Valid Transport Manager CPC qualification.
• Strong knowledge of transport compliance and driver legislation.
• Excellent people management and communication skills.
• Background from any transport sector considered; general haulage experience advantageous.
