Key Responsibilities:

- nPerform a range of Upper GI surgical procedures with a high degree of skill and care.n
- nProvide expert clinical leadership and guidance to junior surgical staff and multidisciplinary teams.n
- nParticipate in on-call rotas, ensuring timely and effective surgical interventions.n
- nEngage in continuous professional development and maintain up-to-date knowledge of surgical advancements.n
- nContribute to clinical governance, audit, and research activities within the department.n
- nCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.n
- nMaintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.n

Required Qualifications and Experience:

- n
- nFull registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).n
- nCompletion of higher surgical training in Upper GI Surgery.n
- nFellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) or equivalent.n
- nEvidence of higher specialist training and experience in Upper GI Surgery.n
- nNHS mandatory training completion.n
