We are working with Northampton General Hospital to recruit a Senior Quality Assurance Technician to join their specialist Pharmacy Quality Assurance team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly regulated environment, supporting the safe production and supply of medicines across aseptic and manufacturing services.

About the Role
n
As a Senior QA Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining quality, safety, and compliance across pharmacy production and aseptic services.
nn
Key responsibilities include:
n
- n
- nSupporting the Quality Assurance (QA) service for licensed production and wholesale facilitiesn
- nUndertaking environmental monitoring of clean rooms and aseptic unitsn
- nPerforming microbiological testing, airflow monitoring, and temperature mappingn
- nInspecting and releasing unlicensed medicines and aseptic productsn
- nSupporting quality systems, audits, and deviation investigationsn
- nMaintaining and optimising QA IT systems and documentationn
- nSupervising and supporting junior technical staffn

You will also contribute to the QA/Aseptic Unit rota, including weekends and bank holidays, supporting cancer services.

Essential Requirements
n
- n
- nQualified Pharmacy Technician (GPhC registered) or relevant science/manufacturing qualificationn
- nExperience in QA, aseptic services, or pharmaceutical environmentsn
- nKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)n
- nStrong attention to detail and ability to work accuratelyn
- nGood communication and organisational skillsn

- nExperience with MHRA licensing requirementsn
- nExperience in quality management systems and auditsn
- nFurther training in Quality Assurance or aseptic servicesn
- nExperience supervising or training staffn
