We are recruiting Band 5 Community Staff Nurses to join the District Nursing teams within CNWL Community Services in Hillingdon.

Key Responsibilitiesn

As a Community Staff Nurse, you will work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care within the community.

n

You will develop skills including:

    n

  • nAutonomous community nursing practicen
  • n

  • nDiabetic management, blood glucose monitoring, and insulin administrationn
  • n

  • nTissue viability and wound care, including:n
      n

    • nCompression therapyn
    • n

    • nDoppler assessmentsn
    • n

    • nVAC dressingsn
    • n

    • nPressure ulcer managementn
    • n

    • nSurgical wound caren
  • nnn

  • nBladder and bowel care, including catheterisation and continence assessmentsn
  • n

  • nIntravenous medication administration and PICC/midline caren
  • n

  • nPalliative and end-of-life care, including symptom management and syringe driversn
  • n

  • nManagement of specialist drains including nephrostomies and chest drainsn

  • nMaintain accurate clinical documentation and patient recordsn
  • n

  • nSupport patients, carers, and families with education and ongoing care needsn

  • nWork collaboratively with specialist teams and wider community servicesn

  • nContribute to safe discharge planning and hospital admission avoidancen

What We’re Looking ForEssentialn

  • nRegistered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registrationn

  • nExcellent written and verbal communication skillsn
