About the Role
n
We are working with Northampton General Hospital to recruit a Band 5 Specialist Pharmacy or Science Manufacturing Technician to join their Aseptic Services Unit (ASU).
n
This is a key role within a highly specialised pharmacy service, supporting the preparation and supply of aseptically prepared intravenous medicines, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition.

Key Responsibilities
n
- n
- nSupport the preparation and dispensing of aseptic medicines (patient-specific and batch production)n
- nUndertake final checking and release of aseptically prepared products (once competent)n
- nWork within cleanroom and isolator environments, following Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)n
- nCoordinate day-to-day workload within the Aseptic Unit to ensure timely delivery of treatmentsn
- nSupport cost improvement initiatives, data analysis, and reporting of key performance metricsn
- nManage charging processes for external customers and resolve invoice queriesn
- nContribute to quality systems, audits, and service improvement initiativesn
- nSupport training and supervision of junior staff where requiredn

Essential Requirements
n
- n
- nQualified Pharmacy Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent),n
- nor Science Manufacturing Technician qualification,n
- nor relevant degree in pharmaceutical science or related fieldn
- nProfessional registration with GPhC, Science Council or RPSn
- nKnowledge and experience of aseptic preparation and GMPn
- nStrong attention to detail and accuracyn
- nGood communication, organisation, and IT skillsn
