About the Role
n
Our client is recruiting a Uro-Gynae Nurse Specialist to join its growing Community Gynaecology Service across Birmingham and Sandwell.
nn
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering specialist community-based gynaecology services, providing assessment, investigation, treatment, and ongoing management for women with urogynaecological conditions.
nn
Working alongside Consultants, GPwERs, Specialist Nurses, and Allied Health Professionals, you will lead nurse-led clinics and provide expert support for patients with urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, recurrent urinary tract infections, and other pelvic floor disorders.

Key Responsibilities
n
- n
- nManage an autonomous caseload of patients with urogynaecological conditionsn
- nUndertake comprehensive patient assessments, including bladder diaries, pelvic examinations, and pad testingn
- nPerform and interpret urodynamic studies and bladder scans where competentn
- nUndertake catheterisation procedures and long-term catheter managementn
- nFit, manage, and review vaginal pessaries for pelvic organ prolapsen
- nDeliver conservative management programmes including pelvic floor training and bladder retrainingn
- nProvide specialist patient education, advice, and emotional supportn
- nAct as a key worker coordinating patient care across multidisciplinary servicesn
- nParticipate in MDT meetings, clinical governance, audits, and service development initiativesn
- nMaintain accurate clinical records and ensure high standards of patient care and safetyn

What We’re Looking For

Essential

- n
- nNMC Registered Nursen
- nExtensive post-registration experience within a relevant specialist arean
- nExperience working within Gynaecology, Urology, or Continence Servicesn
- nStrong assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skillsn
- nAbility to work autonomously within an agreed scope of practicen
- nExperience managing complex patient caseloadsn
- nFull UK driving licence and ability to travel between clinic locationsn

- nDegree qualification or equivalent experiencen
- nSpecialist qualification in Urogynaecology or Continence Caren
- nAccredited Continence or Urodynamics qualificationn

- nExperience working across community and secondary care pathwaysn
