Operational Excellence Lead

Bristol | £65,000–£70,000 + 5% Bonus | 25 Days Holiday

We are recruiting for an experienced Operational Excellence Lead to join a growing manufacturing business. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving continuous improvement, operational transformation and business performance across multiple functions.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will lead initiatives that improve productivity, standardise processes and embed a culture of operational excellence throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

● Lead business-wide operational excellence and continuous improvement programmes.

● Drive Lean initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency and overall operational performance.

● Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and R&D to improve collaboration and product introduction processes.

● Review and optimise business processes, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and eliminate waste.

● Develop and implement robust operating procedures, governance frameworks and performance management systems.

● Lead cross-functional improvement projects, ensuring sustainable results and measurable business benefits.

● Coach and develop managers and teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and structured problem-solving.

● Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project delivery, progress and performance.

About You

● Significant experience in Operational Excellence, Business Improvement, Continuous Improvement or Manufacturing Transformation.

● Strong manufacturing or engineering background with a proven record of delivering measurable operational improvements.

● Experience leading cross-functional change and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

● Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, process improvement and performance management methodologies.

● Commercially aware with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Lean Six Sigma qualification is beneficial but practical experience delivering results is more important.
