Product Designer — 3-Month Contract | ListAid

London, UK Remote/Hybrid | Contract (3 months, potential to extend) | Reports to: MD

About ListAid

ListAid is an AI-powered listing tool designed specifically for charity shops and resellers across the UK. By turning photos of donated items into complete, ready-to-publish online listings, ListAid removes the need for manual data entry and technical expertise. The platform helps charity retailers list more items, faster, with higher-quality listings that drive online sales while freeing staff and volunteers to focus on core activities. ListAid is focused on converting donated stock into sustainable online revenue for UK charity retailers and resellers.

The Role

We’re looking for a Product Designer to join us for a focused 3-month contract, working closely with our engineering team and the Managing Director to improve and evolve the ListAid app experience. This is hands-on product design work — from user flows and wireframes through to polished, ready-to-build UI — for a small, fast-moving team where your work ships quickly.

You’ll pick up a mix of new feature design and refinement of existing flows, working within our established brand system rather than building one from scratch.

What You’ll Do

  • Design end-to-end product flows for new and existing ListAid features — wireframes through to high-fidelity UI
  • Work in Figma, using and extending our existing design system and brand guidelines
  • Collaborate directly with engineering to ensure designs are feasible and well-handed-off
  • Turn user and customer feedback (from charity shop staff, volunteers, and resellers) into practical design improvements
  • Contribute to usability decisions for a non-technical, sometimes technology-resistant user base
  • Participate in short, regular check-ins with the MD & CEO and engineering team

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Strong portfolio of shipped product/UI design work, ideally SaaS or B2B
  • Proficiency in Figma, including components, auto-layout, and design systems
  • Comfortable designing for non-technical end users — clarity and simplicity over cleverness
  • Able to work independently with minimal oversight in a small team, fast-paced environment
  • UK-based, available for the full 3-month duration
  • Comfortable working on a contract basis (able to invoice via own limited company or umbrella arrangement, as applicable)

Nice to have:

  • Experience designing for retail, e-commerce, or marketplace products
  • Familiarity with accessibility best practice for older or less tech-confident users
  • Experience at an early-stage startup
