Project Delivery & Operations Manager
Brighton, Full Time, Competitive Salary (£50,000–£65,000 depending on experience)

BN1 Surveyors is a growing specialist fire safety consultancy delivering External Wall Fire Risk Assessments (FRAEW), EWS1 certifications and building safety consultancy across the UK.
The commercial and technical divisions of the business have grown exponential and now it’s time for operations to.
We’re looking for someone who wants to become the operational heartbeat of our business.
Working directly alongside our Technical Director and Directors, you’ll take ownership of project delivery from the moment a project is won through to successful completion. You’ll coordinate clients, surveyors, engineers and subcontractors balancing workloads, managing capacity and ensuring every project is delivered professionally.
But this role is about much more than managing projects, we’re looking for someone who enjoys improving businesses. Today we manage projects using Excel. Tomorrow, we expect that to change. We want someone who has the confidence to challenge existing ways of working, recommend better systems, introduce modern project management software and build the operational processes that will support the next phase of our growth.
You’ll have genuine autonomy.
If you believe something can be done better, we’ll expect you to tell us.
If a process isn’t working, we’ll expect you to improve it.
If we need to recruit additional technical resource or change the way we deliver projects, you’ll be part of those conversations.
This isn’t a corporate environment where decisions take months.

What you’ll be responsible for
• Taking ownership of project delivery from instruction through to completion.
• Becoming the main operational contact for our clients.
• Planning workloads across surveyors, engineers and subcontractors.
• Forecasting capacity and ensuring resources are used efficiently.
• Introducing modern project management systems and improving operational visibility.
• Building scalable delivery processes that support our continued growth.
• Working closely with the Directors on operational planning and continuous improvement.

What success looks like
Within your first year you’ll have become the operational partner to our Technical Director, implemented better project management systems, improved project visibility, increased delivery efficiency and helped build the operational platform that supports the next stage of BN1’s growth.
Where this role can lead
We don’t see this as simply recruiting a Project Delivery Manager.
As BN1 continues to grow, we expect this role to develop into a senior operational leadership position with the opportunity to become our future Operations Director.
