Job Description:

Blue Diamond Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a growing residential developer in the appointment of a Commercial Administrator to join their Commercial team based in Warwickshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to support a busy Commercial department, working closely with Quantity Surveyors, Buyers and the wider construction team across multiple residential developments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting procurement activities, subcontractor administration, commercial reporting and general departmental administration.

The Role

As Commercial Administrator, you will provide essential support to the Commercial team, helping to ensure the smooth running of commercial and procurement processes across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the procurement of subcontractors, including tender administration and monitoring tender returns.
  • Managing subcontractor onboarding, including the collection of CIS information, insurance documentation, bank details and health & safety accreditation.
  • Assisting Quantity Surveyors with the preparation and administration of subcontract orders.
  • Supporting monthly subcontract payment processes in line with company procedures.
  • Raising purchase orders and assisting with small material procurement activities.
  • Raising orders on behalf of Customer Care and Sales & Marketing teams.
  • Maintaining subcontractor records, insurance information and compliance documentation.
  • Assisting with plant register administration and site waste management reporting.
  • Producing meeting minutes and supporting commercial meetings where required.
  • Maintaining accurate records, trackers and commercial documentation.
  • Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments to ensure information is up to date and readily available.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be highly organised, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced construction environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a Commercial, Procurement, Buying or Construction Administration role.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using business systems and databases.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience using any of the following systems would be advantageous.
  • Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office Suite.
  • COINS or other house building/commercial management software.
  • Eque2 Construction Management software.
  • Procore.
  • 1Breadcrumb.
  • Experience working within the house building, residential development or construction sector.
