LEO School, a UK-based online international school, is looking for an English Second Language Teacher (ESL) to join our growing team.
Please note: we are only considering applicants who are UK-based or hold a UK-recognised teaching qualification, and who already have experience teaching the Cambridge / British curriculum. Applications without relevant UK qualification or Cambridge/British curriculum experience will not be considered.
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced ESL Teacher to deliver high-quality online lessons to students across different age groups and levels in a structured online environment.
Essential requirements
- UK-based teacher or holder of a UK-recognised teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching the Cambridge / British curriculum
- Strong experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL / EAL)
- Confidence in delivering lessons online
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- Ability to support learners with different language levels and needs
- Confidence using online platforms and digital teaching tools
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and well-structured online ESL lessons
- Teach in line with the Cambridge / British curriculum where relevant
- Plan, prepare and adapt lessons to meet students’ needs
- Support student progress through clear teaching, feedback, and academic monitoring
- Maintain high professional standards in communication and lesson delivery
- Keep up to date with curriculum developments and best practice in ESL teaching
