Business Change Consultant – Energy

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Business Change Consultant to support a large-scale transformation programme within a UK Retail Energy organisation. You will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and end users to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver business change and change readiness activities.
• Create stakeholder engagement and communication plans.
• Perform business impact and change impact assessments.
• Prepare training materials and support end-user training.
• Manage business readiness activities before key project milestones.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and technical teams.
• Track risks, issues, and dependencies relating to business change.
• Measure adoption, user feedback, and change effectiveness after implementation.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Change Consultant or Change Manager.
• Experience delivering business transformation programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with change impact assessments and business readiness.
• Ability to create communications, training, and engagement plans.
• Experience working within Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments.
• Excellent facilitation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Skills

• Experience within the UK Retail Energy or Utilities sector.
• Knowledge of billing, CRM, customer operations, or smart metering.
• Familiarity with change management methodologies such as Prosci, ADKAR, or similar.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 and collaboration tools.
