Architectural Technologist – Residential

Working Pattern: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home
About the Role
An established, award-winning architectural practice is looking to appoint an experienced Architectural Technologist to join its London studio, working on a portfolio of high-quality residential projects.
This role is ideal for a technically minded Architectural Technologist with strong Revit skills and proven experience delivering residential schemes through the later stages of design and construction. The successful candidate will play a key role in the technical delivery of projects, with particular responsibility for resolving complex construction details, including basement design, and producing coordinated technical information.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and coordinate detailed technical drawing packages using Revit for residential developments.
- Lead the technical delivery of projects through RIBA Stages 4 and 5.
- Develop detailed construction information and technical solutions that meet Building Regulations and project requirements.
- Resolve complex technical and construction issues, particularly relating to basement design and detailing.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and specialist subcontractors throughout the delivery process.
- Prepare and review technical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Attend site and project coordination meetings, providing technical support during construction.
- Ensure projects are delivered to programme while maintaining the highest standards of technical excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technologist within a UK architectural practice.
- Strong background delivering residential projects, ideally including high-end private residential or multi-unit residential developments.
- Excellent proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects through RIBA Stages 4 and 5.
- Previous experience resolving technical challenges associated with basement construction is essential.
- Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction detailing and technical coordination.
- Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative project team.
