The purpose of this role is to manage and enhance a team responsible for chasing, settling, and allocating debtor transactions within the Credit Control department. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring workflow efficiency, and reducing outstanding debt. Additionally, the role requires providing leadership, direction, and coordination to achieve targets and goals in credit control activities.

The opportunity:

- nManaging and leading a team and ensure high standards of performance are met.n
- nTrack potential and future bad debtors, aged debt, and cash collection issues to maximise recovery.n
- nProvide 1st level escalation for daily problem-solving and support team members on specific issues.n
- nEnsure timely and accurate collection of unsettled debt for effective credit control.n
- nGenerate detailed monthly reports on team achievements and areas of concern to inform decision-making.n
- nBuild and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.n
- nDevelop and implement credit control strategies aligned with business goals.n
- nMonitor processes and procedures to ensure adherence to internal service standards.n
- nSet monthly collection targets and monitor individual team members' progress.n
- nFoster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration within the team.n

About you:

- nStrong Stakeholder Managementn
- nExperience in the insurance industry is not essentialn
- nProven track record in team management with emphasis on qualityn
- nExperience in credit control, customer service, and managing complex relationships.n
