About the Role

n

The People Operations Manager is responsible for owning and delivering the People Operations roadmap, ensuring our people processes, systems and policies run smoothly, efficiently and at scale. This role leads the end-to-end employee lifecycle, and is expected to be at the forefront of how AI is reshaping People Operations – not just adopting tools, but actively identifying where automation and AI-powered workflows can eliminate manual effort, reduce risk and unlock capacity for higher-value work. This role partners closely with Talent, People Partners, Finance and wider business stakeholders to build scalable infrastructure and deliver an exceptional employee experience – and will be a key voice in shaping Moneybox's approach to People technology, data and AI governance as the function grows.

Key Responsibilitiesn

    nOperational Excellence & Process Ownershipn

  • nOwn and optimise end-to-end People lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, probations, contracts, references, etc.), with a focus on designing processes that are built for automation.n
  • n

  • nDrive continuous process improvement initiatives with AI and automation as primary levers to drive efficiency, scalability and employee experience.n
  • n

  • nProactively identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and leverage AI-enabled solutions to improve workflow automation and self-service reducing manual effort and improve service quality.Ensure compliance requirements and regulatory obligations (including SMCR) are consistently met and embedded within People processes.n
  • n

  • nMaintain scalable, well-documented People Operations processes, policies and knowledge bases.n
  • n

  • nPartner closely with Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate data flows, strong operational controls and seamless pay-related processes.n
  • n

    People Technology

    n

  • nAct as owner and subject matter expert for core People systems including HRIS (HiBob), ATS, performance platforms and wider People technology stack.n
  • n

  • nDrive system optimisation, adoption, automation and cross-system integrations to improve operational efficiency and data accuracy.n
  • n

  • nOwn the People team's AI tooling roadmap: identify where AI can meaningfully improve how the team operates.n
  • n

  • nManage People systems governance, ensuring data integrity, compliance and effective system controls across the employee lifecycle.n
  • n

  • nManage relationships with third-party People vendors, including renewals, contract management and ongoing performance optimisation.n
  • n

  • nPartner closely with Finance, Payroll and wider business stakeholders to ensure seamless system operations and accurate people data across all platforms.n
  • n

    Employee Experience & Service Delivery

    n

  • nOversee the People inbox/service desk and ensure timely, high-quality support to employees and managers.n
  • n

  • nLead People Operations service delivery, identifying bottlenecks and proactively improving turnaround times.n
  • n

  • nWork with the Office Team to ensure a seamless operational experience for employees.n
  • n

  • nAct as a trusted partner to People and Talent Partners and wider organisation on People processes and policy interpretation.n
  • n

  • nSupport People Team initiatives, People Ops roadmap delivery and wider cultural/engagement initiatives.n
  • n

  • nContribute to broader People Team project work n

Experiencen

    n

  • n5+ years’ experience as an owner in the People Operations space, ideally within a fast-paced scale-up or similar environment.n
  • n

  • nDemonstrable experience using AI tools to meaningfully improve People Operations – not just awareness, but hands-on delivery.n
  • n

  • nPrevious experience support People Operations in a Financial Regulated environment (i.e Knowledge of SMCR) is desirable)n
  • n

  • nYou consider your skill level with excel/google sheets advancedn
  • n

  • nStrong analytical skills n
  • n

  • nDemonstrable experience owning and improving People processes at scale.n
  • n

  • nStrong HRIS experience (HiBob preferred; experience with workflows, automations or integrations is a plus).n
  • n

  • nSolid understanding of UK employment law, compliance requirements and best-practice People Ops governance.n
  • n

  • nExperience managing or coaching junior team members.n
