In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways
- Lead complex, end to end AI solution development. On BNY’s AI platform ELIZA—from problem shaping and experimentation to deployment, adoption, and measurable business impact
- Provide technical direction to pods; guide prioritization, trade offs, and architecture decisions across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Governance
- Design and embed responsible AI practices into solutions—clear evaluation methods, transparency standards, risk controls, and human oversight patterns—while helping shape the AI Hub’s responsible AI framework
- Partner with platform teams to deliver scalable, observable, secure capabilities; establish drift/quality monitoring and cost aware performance
- Mentor juniors; uplift engineering quality via documentation, reusable accelerators, and communities of practice
- Contribute to AI Hub standards, reference architectures, and platform components
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering/Management (advanced degree preferred)
- Significant experience delivering AI/ML in enterprise environments with proven ownership of multi phase or multi pod programs
- Deep applied experience across LLMs/NLP, agentic systems, retrieval architectures, robust evaluation, and enterprise grade delivery
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complexity, set technical direction, and drive outcomes across teams
- People leadership: Experience leading junior staff and matrixed contributors; proven mentorship and quality bar setting
