The role

Support the team at formal and artefact reviews as necessary

  • Be responsible for championing and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement

Definition of test criteria and acceptance in the Verification and Validation Requirements Matrix (VVRM).Any other duties required to meet the needs of the programme.

You won’t necessarily have a military background, but you’ll understand what it means to serve and to put the mission first.The OMNIA Training ITEA Test Engineer will provide and deliver ITEA activities across the Army Collective Training Service (ACTS) deliverables. Reporting directly to the ITEA Manager, they will be instrumental in delivering the ITEA Plan and ensuring the effective verification, validation, assurance, and acceptance of services and capabilities across the programme.This role requires a systems-thinking mindset, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability work in a multidisciplinary engineering team in a complex and evolving environment. Given the programme’s focus on modelling and simulation, familiarity with relevant standards and technologies is highly desirable.

Proven track record of creating manual test scripts

  • Proven track record of using scripted test automation to improve quality, consistency and coverage within a software development environment

Working in ITEA Teams

  • Broad technology experience, with demonstrable experience of enterprise capability development (people, process and technology)

An understanding of assurance and acceptance processes

  • Test and Trial script planning experience and test automation

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience of IBM DOORS and JIRA tools is desirable
  • Experience with modelling and simulation technologies, including familiarity with standards such as HLA (High-Level Architecture), DIS (Distributed Interactive Simulation), and HLA4

Experience of programming/scripting languages such as Java, Javascript, Python, Bash

  • Security cleared or ability to obtain (SC or above)
