General Manager, Contract Logistics

Brackmills, Northampton

Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.30pm

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the site implements effective and efficient management of all operating systems and procedures in line with company guidelines, monitoring performance in key result areas and taking remedial action as needed.
  • Confirm all buildings and equipment are maintained to maximise value and comply with legal and safety requirements.
  • Maintain direct relationships with customers, both operationally and financially.
  • Plan and promote the company’s People Plan to attract talent, develop capability, and enable growth.
  • Deliver employee engagement initiatives.
  • Manage the site’s financial accounts and implement effective financial control procedures, liaising with the UK Finance Team and controlling overhead budgets.
  • Lead continuous improvement programs to promote customer and company efficiencies.
  • Drive new and existing business in collaboration with Business Development to meet strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Previous Assistant General Manager experience.
  • 3PL experience within a large multi-user environment.
  • Profit and loss finance management, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of warehouse processes and procedures.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Awareness of warehouse management systems.
  • Passionate about delivering great customer service.
