Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a varied portfolio of tax clients across the Northamptonshire and wider South-East Midlands market.
  • Provide high-quality tax advice to private individuals, business owners, owner-managed businesses, and corporate clients.
  • Deliver a broad mix of advisory work tailored to your background and tax specialism, including areas such as personal tax planning, corporate tax, CGT, IHT, and property tax.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local professional contacts, and internal teams across the wider network.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the career progression and development of junior members within the tax team.
  • Partner closely with Partners and senior leadership to identify growth opportunities and actively develop the Northampton tax offering.

As a Tax Senior Manager / Director you will:

  • Be CTA, ACA, ACCA, or ATT qualified, or possess equivalent qualification-by-experience with a strong public practice background.
  • Experience operating at Senior Manager, Associate Director, or Director level within an accountancy practice environment.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive expertise across mixed tax, personal tax, or corporate tax frameworks.
  • Possess proven experience in managing client relationships and delivering practical, commercially focused advice.
  • Be confident identifying client advisory opportunities and contributing to business development activity.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust with both clients and internal colleagues.
