Technical Skills & Requirements

• Proficiency in one or more object‑oriented programming languages.
• Understanding of software‑development principles, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
• Experience working on software projects (academic, personal, or professional) that demonstrate practical programming skills.
• Familiarity with version control systems, development pipelines, issue‑tracking tools, and containerisation technologies.
• Understanding of modern cloud‑computing concepts, including scalability, security, reliability, and deployment practices.
• Experience with, or willingness to learn, modern web application development frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile software‑development methodologies and collaborative ways of working.
• Awareness of current AI technologies and experience using AI‑assisted tools to support software development, problem‑solving, or learning, with an understanding of the importance of validating and reviewing AI‑generated outputs.

Competency Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
