- Leadership on Mission‑Critical Projects – You’ll take the lead on designing high‑performance mechanical systems for hyperscale and colocation data centres, influencing everything from concept strategies through to completion. Your technical decisions will have a direct impact on performance, resilience and long‑term reliability.
- Strategic Client Partnership – You’ll work closely with major clients across Europe, offering technical direction, engineering assurance and strategic insights. Your ability to translate complex challenges into clear solutions will position you as a trusted advisor.
- Technical Depth & Innovation – You’ll develop and review advanced mechanical designs including HVAC strategies, cooling for high‑density environments, chilled water systems, air handling units, heat rejection systems and associated mechanical plant. You will stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, regulatory changes and industry trends.
- Cross‑Disciplinary Collaboration – Working closely with architects and specialists across electrical, structural, sustainability and BIM teams, you’ll deliver coordinated, efficient and future‑ready engineering solutions.
- Talent Development & Team Growth – You’ll mentor and support junior engineers, contribute to resource planning and help shape a team culture built around innovation, continuous improvement and shared success.
- Business Influence & Growth – You’ll play an important role in identifying new opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to the strategic growth of the mechanical discipline.
- Extensive experience in mechanical building services engineering, ideally within mission‑critical environments such as data centres, healthcare or high‑tech manufacturing.
- Expertise in HVAC system design, cooling strategies for high‑density environments, chilled water systems, AHUs, heat rejection systems and associated mechanical plant.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, IES and CFD modelling software.
- Strong ability to prepare specifications, schedules, contract documentation and budget‑aligned design deliverables.
- Proven experience leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clients at senior levels.
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) with a recognised institution.
