Overview
Volunteering with Change Grow Live provides an opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives while gaining valuable experience. It is a way to give back to the community, develop new skills, and meet like‑minded people.
People who use our services often struggle with feelings of loneliness and isolation. They want someone to talk to and to be heard.
Responsibilities
- Regularly checking in with people who have asked for this form of support.
- Listening and giving people the space to talk.
- Providing relevant information to the staff team when required.
- Maintaining confidentiality and echoing information appropriately.
- Being open and honest with your supervisor about any support you may need.
- Acting as a friendly face or listening ear for new service users.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Support & Training
Good communication skills are essential; relevant training will be provided. Your own wellbeing will be supported and encouraged.
