Role Overview

This is an exciting time to join one of North Devon’s biggest employers working in the Faculty of Construction, Engineering and Motor Vehicle to secure short work placements for our 16-19 fulltime construction learners. Delivering skilled construction workers is a national priority and at the heart of our offer is supporting learners to complete a short placement that prepares them for the world of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Secure short work placements for 16-19 fulltime construction learners.
• Work closely with the curriculum team to prepare learners and support them through to successful completion.
• Form part of a wider team of Industry Placement Liaison Officers (IPLOs) working across the college in similar roles.
• Support employers and learners during placement and ensure all learners successfully complete their placements as part of their core curriculum study.
• Work towards placement targets and have the opportunity to earn a 20% bonus at the end of the academic year.
