Technical Programme Lead

Role Overview
The Technical Programme Lead is responsible for delivering customer projects, managing and developing a high-performing team, and driving growth within a specific technical domain. You will work closely with technical leadership, customer teams, and business development functions to shape and expand the company’s offerings, ensuring technical excellence and commercial viability.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience leading customer-facing technical projects
- Degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent industry experience
- Suitable consultancy experience beneficial
- Comfortable working across disciplines including engineering, data, and software
- Proven ability to manage and develop people
- Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complexity
- Commercial awareness and pragmatic decision-making
- Skilled at identifying and shaping opportunities with customers
- Experience in team leadership
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of customer projects, including scope definition, planning, execution, and outcomes
- Work directly with clients to understand problems and develop solutions
- Manage project proposals, estimates, and delivery schedules
- Oversee risk management, dependencies, and commercial performance
- Build and manage a multidisciplinary team of up to approximately 7 members
- Conduct regular 1:1s, support team development, and manage performance
- Identify opportunities for growth within customer engagements and expand successful work across client organisations
- Act as a point of contact for business development within your domain
- Shape repeatable, scalable approaches and develop assets for future use
- Collaborate with senior engineering leadership on solution architecture and technical standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement in delivery processes and capabilities
- Incorporate AI tools into daily work to enhance outcomes and stay ahead of technological advancements
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Proven experience in leading technical projects and managing teams
- Comfortable working on-site in Surrey (with hybrid working arrangements)
- Willing to commit to an initial two-week engagement starting on 06/07/2026
- Degree or equivalent industry experience in a relevant technical discipline
