About the Role
Parking Services is a key front‑line service for the council. As Parking Services Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of all aspects of parking operations, including on‑ and off‑street parking and civil enforcement, across the partnership.
This is an exciting opportunity arising from the retirement of the current postholder to shape and improve the service, ensuring it is efficient, customer‑focused, and value‑for‑money.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage parking services across both councils
- Develop and deliver parking strategies and service improvements
- Provide clear advice, analysis and insight to support decision‑making
- Ensure efficient, compliant, and value‑for‑money service delivery
- Manage budgets, performance, and resources
- Build strong relationships with members, partners, and stakeholders
- Handle complex enquiries, issues, and complaints
Qualifications & Experience
Degree educated or equivalent with solid experience of management and development of all aspects of parking services, and a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
Experience in team management, excellent communication and engagement skills, and ability to develop good working relationships with the team, service users and members.
