We are looking for a Principal Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-native applications and services. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role for an experienced engineer who thrives on solving complex challenges, influencing architecture decisions, and building high‑performing backend platforms from the ground up.

You’ll work alongside talented Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to deliver modern, resilient solutions that operate at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build scalable backend services and distributed systems using Java.
• Lead architecture and engineering decisions across cloud‑native applications.
• Develop and optimise solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Drive engineering best practices, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative products and services.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across the development lifecycle.

What You’ll Bring

• Extensive experience in Java backend development and distributed systems.
• Strong expertise designing and delivering cloud‑native solutions on Azure.
• Proven experience building complex platforms and services from scratch.
• Excellent system design, architecture, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
