What You’ll Do

Purpose of the Role: The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and ongoing optimisation of the organisation’s IT infrastructure. Covering networks, servers, cloud platforms and telecommunications, ensuring high availability, high performance, and security of IT systems while aligning infrastructure strategy with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the existing IT infrastructure services
  • Monitor the existing environment for pre-emptive support and troubleshooting
  • Ensure high availability, resilience, and performance of IT infrastructure services
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams
  • Deliver infrastructure‑related projects on time and within budget
  • Work with the business as technical lead on projects and business change
  • Liaise with and co‑ordinate internal teams and third parties to resolve issues
  • Identify, investigate, and introduce new technologies to improve service and security
  • Create and maintain infrastructure documentation
  • Implement and maintain the company’s policies and procedures where applicable
  • Ensure legal compliance of IT regulations
  • Maintain and progress the infrastructure roadmap to improve performance
  • Perform any other duties commensurate with skills, scope, and time available

Qualifications

  • Experience with network technologies including Wifi, SD‑WAN, LAN & WAN
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, Office 365, etc.)
  • Experience with the Microsoft Stack of Products
  • Experience with security system management and implementation
  • Experience with interoperability of systems
  • A proven record of delivering reliable functioning systems, meeting business requirements
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff across the business, as well as key customers and suppliers
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure, prioritising workload and managing conflicting demands
  • Ability to articulate technical information to non‑technical staff
  • Understanding of the wider IT arena as well as individual specialisation
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Technical authoring skills
  • Travel will be required
