Cybersecurity – Security Operations Consulting Manager
As a Manager within the Global Cybersecurity Practice, you will lead engagements delivering end-to-end solutions and play a key role in business development initiatives. You will work in a collaborative, global environment to support clients across multiple industries, ensuring comprehensive support throughout their project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Deliver current-state assessments (maturity, governance, lifecycle controls, using SOC-CMM) and define target-state capabilities, operating model, and controls framework.
- Conduct and review threat modelling of IT/OT organisations.
- Advise and manage Security Operations transformation projects, including Log Management, Detection, Operating model, Governance and reporting, incident response, automation and AI.
- Own SOC requirements definition and vendor evaluation (RFI/RFP), build scoring models, shape PoV, and recommend tool selection across domains.
- Manage senior stakeholders, facilitate decision workshops, and drive timely decisions via governance, options analysis, and explicit trade-offs.
- Own team performance, driving delivery quality and commercial success through proposals, scoping/estimation, and account expansion.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in consulting skills in external client‑facing consultancy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of an organisation, with experience managing and leading teams, developing and coaching junior staff.
- Hands‑on technical leadership delivering SOC solutions on at least one major vendor stack and Cloud Security Operations depth (e.g. Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike Falcon, Splunk Enterprise Security, Google Chronicle, Elastic Security, Nozomi Networks).

Location & Travel
Employees are not required to work in a Wavestone office full‑time, but are required to commute to the office or client site when necessary. Wavestone UK office is in the heart of the City of London. Mandatory 2–3 days per week in the Wavestone office/client site during probation.
