Role Description

The Pallet Network Planner is a full-time, office based role in Peterlee. This role is responsible for planning and coordinating pallet movements across the North East to ensure optimal utilization of warehouse space, transport capacity, and delivery routes. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing demand forecasts, designing and adjusting network plans, scheduling inbound pallet flows, and monitoring performance against service and cost targets. The role involves regular communication with internal teams, transport partners, and customers to resolve issues, manage priorities, and improve processes. The Pallet Network Planner also supports continuous improvement projects, data reporting, and adherence to health, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong demand planning and analytical skills to forecast volumes, interpret data, and optimize pallet flows.
  • Experience with network design and logistics or transport planning, including route and capacity optimization.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, partners, and customers.
  • Project management capabilities to support process improvements, implement changes, and track outcomes.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and planning tools; experience with WMS/TMS systems is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or transport operations is advantageous.
  • Ability to work accurately under time pressure, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant vocational training or degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred.
