Prime Nurture Services Ltd are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to lead and manage our EBD residential children’s home in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. Our homes are based in the areas of Hertfordshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire and support children who need a ‘safe-haven’ in times of difficulty and a ‘secure base’ from which to explore, learn and achieve.

About you

You will be an experienced registered manager, with a track record of good performance, demonstrated by having been rated “Good” or “Outstanding” within recent Ofsted Inspection. You will be committed to leading from the front in developing relationship‑based practice with children.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the home provides high‑quality care and support to children and young people with a range of complex needs. You’ll oversee the day‑to‑day running of the home, including managing staff, maintaining relationships with external agencies, and ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met.

We will need you to

  • Select, support, and lead teams dedicated to promoting emotional securing in children
  • Demonstrate the standard of direct work with children required
  • Ensure that we have in place the policies, procedures, and practices necessary to safeguard and promote the welfare of our children
  • Ensure that all available resources are deployed effectively, efficiently and provide best value for children’s welfare.
  • Work in collaboration with partner services – therapists and educators, in the interests of children
  • Be willing to travel to our head office in Nottingham once a quarter for a company‑wide manager’s meeting

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

  • Previous experience as a registered manager in a residential children’s home
  • Hold a Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • To hold or be working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England)
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and proactive approach to problem‑solving
  • Hold a full driving licence
