The Quality Engineer role itself is a hands‑on, staff-level position working closely with the Quality Manager on a permanent PM shift. Your responsibilities will include supporting new product introductions, investigating quality issues, and implementing sustainable solutions. You’ll play a key role in developing the Quality Operating System and embedding a genuine quality culture throughout the organisation.

  • Support and challenge existing quality processes and procedures
  • Conduct process and system audits, manage non‑compliance issues
  • Own and maintain process control plans and work instructions
  • Perform daily product audits, including material testing and X‑ray analysis
  • Support metrology activities and host customer SQA inspections
  • Build strong internal relationships to promote quality excellence

You will have

To be successful as Quality Engineer here, you will have a healthy mix of the following:

  • A solid understanding of quality management in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with TS16949 and extensive knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, APQP, PPAP, MSA, PFMEA, SPC, error proofing, and control plans
  • Proven ability to investigate problems and implement effective, lasting solutions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a detail‑oriented approach
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to coach and influence colleagues on quality best practices
