An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join a leading organisation operating within the UK power generation sector.
This strategic engineering role offers the opportunity to influence asset performance, reliability and long-term engineering strategy while working on major plant projects and outages.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing a designated plant area and engineering systems
- Developing maintenance and asset management strategies
- Leading engineering projects and major outages
- Managing engineering contracts and contractor performance
- Overseeing operational and capital budgets
- Driving compliance, safety and operational excellence
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
We’re looking for experience in
- Power Generation (CCGT, CHP, Energy from Waste or similar)
- Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineering
- Heavy Industrial Process Plants
- Asset Management & Reliability
- Maintenance Strategy Development
- Project & Outage Management
- SAP Maintenance Systems
- Contract & Commercial Management
Ideal Background
- Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or EC&I Engineering
- Strong technical leadership within a process or power generation environment
- Experience managing high-value engineering projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Passion for continuous improvement and engineering excellence
