Ferrovial Construction is looking for Graduate Quality Engineers to assist with, and in some cases be responsible for, day‑to‑day activities on a variety of major UK infrastructure projects. This role is part of a 2‑year graduate development programme designed to develop personal, professional and technical skills through a blended approach.
Responsibilities
- Assist in writing and reviewing quality documentation, including Quality Management Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
- Support the development of briefing and communication strategies to ensure quality plans and important information are understood and operated by all employees and subcontractors.
- Monitor compliance of construction works on site and review relevant documentation in accordance with Works Information, Ferrovial standards and relevant Technical Standards.
- Prepare reports for the senior Quality team.
- Support the Project Quality Manager with investigations and audits.
- Provide guidance on quality requirements and best practice, promoting continuous improvement and innovation across the site team and the business.
- Promote Ferrovial Construction UK’s vision and values while taking ownership of assigned work.
- Adhere to safe working practice regulations on‑site and ensure all staff comply.
- Support Ferrovial Construction Environmental and Sustainability policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Degree or Masters (all disciplines considered).
- Right to work in the UK by the start of employment (and throughout the duration of the programme).
- Analytical thinker who enjoys problem solving.
- Proven team player capable of effective collaboration.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proactive approach to working and learning.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of the construction industry.
- Familiar with all Microsoft packages.
- Technical knowledge in Civil, Mechanical and / or Electrical disciplines.
- Logical thinker with willingness to learn; resilient and flexible; results‑driven with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Desirable skills: Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, experience with CSCS Card.
