Engineering Manager – Energy, Utilities and Renewables Projects
We are recruiting an Engineering Manager to join our Energy, Utilities and Renewables Projects team. The successful candidate will join an established business and will have the opportunity, as their career progresses, to lead high-value and high-complexity projects.
Location: Hemel Hempstead office. Applications for our Dublin, Cork, and Galway offices will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management and Business Development – maintaining and growing the business by managing existing workloads and winning new projects.
- Leading a team of engineers with responsibility for delivering projects, managing performance, and developing competency.
- Project lead for Design & Contract management from conceptual phase through to project completion. Leading the project engineering team for the development of design calculations, drawings, specifications and design reports.
- Typical projects will include:
- Power Generation including CHP and peaking plants
- Renewables Energy such as biogas, biomass, solar and hydro
- Energy audits and design and implementation of energy‑saving initiatives
- Industrial utilities design including HVAC, steam, refrigeration and compressed air systems
Requirements
- Engineering degree (Honours Bachelors or higher) in Mechanical, Process or a similar discipline relevant to the specification above.
- 10+ years post-graduate and relevant design experience. CEng would be beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Problem solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Full driving licence and own transport required.
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
- Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
