Role Overview

Experienced Business Manager – Join Alten Ltd’s Aerospace, Defence, or Energy division in London and contribute to account development, business growth, and P/L responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business plan targeting mid‑sized and key accounts in the British industrial market.
  • Proactively prospect new clients and generate new business leads with existing customers.
  • Close deals to support clients with consulting or service centre contracts.
  • Collaborate with the project delivery team to oversee the delivery of offers.
  • Contribute to recruitment strategy by developing and implementing a recruitment plan.
  • Select and recruit consultants, overseeing their career development, performance reviews, and training coordination.
  • Ensure a high level of service delivery across client projects.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts with full responsibility for P/L and financial performance.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and long‑term partnerships.
  • Drive profitability in collaboration with technical leadership and finance.
  • Continuously align activities and evolve offerings to support sustainable customer relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Management, or Business Administration.
  • Min. 2 years of experience within Aerospace, Defence, Energy or comparable military experience (not mandatory).
  • Demonstrable experience in leading teams and performing business development activities.
  • Autonomous, result‑oriented, entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication skills and natural leadership.
