Job Description

Emerson is looking for an Area Sales Manager covering the South region of the UK, responsible for the Fluid and Motion Control portfolio. The role focuses on generating sales to OEMs, contractors, large end‑users, and all major segments including Factory Automation and Industrial Automation.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and developing the assigned territory, driving sustainable sales growth in line with targets.
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities, building a strong pipeline and converting prospects into long‑term customers.
  • Growing and expanding existing accounts, with a focus on key and strategic customers.
  • Developing and executing territory sales plans aligned with UK, Ireland, and Northern Europe strategies.
  • Applying a solution‑selling approach, understanding customer needs and delivering tailored Fluid & Motion Control solutions.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to support ongoing business growth.
  • Maintaining accurate sales data and pipeline visibility within Salesforce CRM.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to support pricing, compliance, and overall business performance.

  • Engineering Degree or other relevant qualification.
  • Demonstrated sales experience with a proven track record.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Direct and interactive computer skills and electronic business interfaces.
  • Proactive and high‑energy style.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred).
  • Relevant industry experience within the UK (process, life‑science, food and beverage, etc.).
