People Specialist

Luton / Milton Keynes, UK from January 2027 onwards

At RATIONAL, people are at the centre of everything we do. As a People Specialist, you ensure a seamless and high-quality employee experience combining operational excellence with a continuous drive to improve how we work.

You will be part of a wider EMEA People team, working closely with colleagues across countries while acting as a trusted partner to the local business.

Your scope of responsibility

  • You support the full employee lifecycle – from recruitment and onboarding to offboarding
  • You ensure accurate HR administration, contracts and data quality and time management
  • You take ownership of payroll coordination (including P11D reporting) and travel expense processes (Concur)
  • You support salary reviews, benefits administration and employee queries
  • You ensure compliance with HR processes, guidelines and statutory requirements
  • You contribute to HR projects and drive continuous process improvements
  • You support training coordination development initiatives and succession planning

Your professional profile

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a CIPD qualification
  • Proven experience in Payroll and pension administration
  • Very good Office 365 skills; good understanding of HR Systems such as SAP, Concur, SuccessFactors (or similar)
  • Strong skills in operational HR execution along the employee life cycle
  • Analytical, structured way of working as well and solution-oriented thinking
  • High level of social competence and communication skills as well as a strong service orientation
  • Confidence in working with HR data, KPIs and reporting
  • Basic project management skills with the ability to deliver reliably
  • Strong sense of ownership, reliability, and discretion with sensitive information
  • Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with a pragmatic approach in an international environment
