Overview
The successful candidate will join our Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss team and undertake a wide range of responsibilities covering liability investigations, policy coverage assessments and quantum assessments for multi‑track claims. The role involves working with insurance and self‑insured clients and handling complex, high‑value, sensitive claims, including motor, EL, PL, abuse and public‑law actions such as Judicial Reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in handling a varied caseload across a range of claim types.
- Carry out investigations, take witness statements and review medical records and reports.
- Report to and liaise with clients to achieve the best outcomes.
- Comply with client SLAs and monitoring‑information (MI) requirements.
- Manage files proactively and strategically, adhering to court timetables.
- Support partners in servicing existing clients, growing new business and maintaining client relationships.
- Draft all legal documents and client advice.
- Handle interlocutory proceedings, CCMC submissions and client meetings.
- Assist marketing and business‑development activities within the Clyde & Co casualty group.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Highly determined individual able to adapt within a demanding, fast‑paced team.
- Experience in personal injury litigation.
- Enthusiasm for complex legal issues and continuous learning.
- Commitment to delivering a high‑professional service, including compliance with client SLAs and MI requirements.
