Senior Building Services Manager
Based in or around Newcastle, this role requires frequent travel across multiple sites/projects in the North East & Yorkshire region.
Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of Building Services elements across construction projects.
- Ensure Building Services Programmes are delivered cost‑effective, customer focused and comply with all Health and Safety legislation and technical standards.
- Control and coordinate the delivery of Building Services on specific projects, ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Provide operational and technical solutions that improve service and value for the business, customers and business partners in line with financial forecasts and operational requirements.
- Coordinate the activities of the Building Services element of the Design Team.
- Establish Programmes, Planning, Key Performance Indicators and Progress Reports for customer projects.
- Manage sub‑contractor resources efficiently to ensure high service levels, productivity and control for each project.
- Review sub‑contractors’ construction protocols, methods and Risk Assessments to ensure safe, secure and efficient operations.
- Lead and manage the commissioning of systems and equipment, and coordinate client demonstrations.
- Chair group meetings for building service integration and lead Working Groups to clarify requirements and improve coordination standards.
- Contribute to the overall health and safety standards of all staff and activities, ensuring well‑being of contracted staff.
Qualifications
- Experience managing design consultants and sub‑contractors at the project level.
- Experience working in the Education, Health and Commercial sectors.
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
- Relevant Chartered membership of a Professional Institute or actively working towards membership.
