Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Support Manager to join our Psychology Services Department and play a vital role in shaping its strategic and operational success. You will work closely with senior leaders – the Senior Service Manager (Psychology), the Director of Psychology and the Associate Directors of Psychology – to contribute to and implement key policies across the department.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage specific programmes of work, creating and implementing systems and processes that drive efficiency and innovation.
- Oversee a small but dedicated administrative team.
- Influence at all levels and build strong, cross‑organisation relationships.
- Take operational ownership – prioritising tasks and making decisions that support the department’s growth and success.
- Use initiative to solve problems creatively and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience in line management, project management and change management – preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Highly organised, pragmatic, self‑motivated with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across disciplines.
- Working knowledge of finance and accounting is beneficial.
- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule – a mixture of home and Inverness office locations.
