The Role An opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join a well-established manufacturing business within a fast‑paced engineering environment. Working closely with the Production Manager, the Supply Chain Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, coordinating production schedules, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to meet customer deadlines and operational targets.

  • Overseeing and maintaining production schedules to ensure timely delivery
  • Issuing job cards and Bills of Materials to production teams
  • Monitoring production progress and resolving delays or issues
  • Raising and managing purchase orders for materials and subcontract services
  • Liaising with suppliers to track orders and chase late deliveries
  • Supporting supplier performance monitoring, including quality and lead times
  • Coordinating logistics including deliveries, shipments and documentation
  • Reviewing sales orders for accuracy and ensuring correct scheduling
  • Communicating with internal teams regarding order updates and delays
  • Supporting stock control processes including inventory checks and stock takes

Requirements The successful Supply Chain Coordinator will have previous experience within a supply chain, purchasing or production planning role, ideally within a manufacturing environment. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are highly desirable, along with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Experience working with ERP or MRP systems and strong Excel skills are also desirable. You will be a confident communicator, comfortable liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders. A proactive, problem‑solving approach and a willingness to take ownership of tasks are key. This role could suit someone who has worked as a Supply Chain Assistant, Production Planner or Purchasing Coordinator.
