Role Title: Head of Strategic Insights & Commercial Intelligence

Summary of the role: We are seeking an experienced management consultant to lead research and insight projects that drive strategic decisions and improve customer experience. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with the ability to design and execute comprehensive research plans. This role requires proven experience working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with external vendors and research partners.

Responsibilities

  • Use domain knowledge along with research and analytical skills for market sizing, market landscaping, workflow analysis and pricing analysis.
  • Analyse data, develop reports and dashboards, and communicate insights to the business across global and region-specific coverage areas.
  • Conduct Excel-based analysis linking multiple data points to identify impactful insights and trends.
  • Perform data preparation and quality control as needed to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Liaise with key senior business stakeholders to understand their business problems and propose analytical solutions.
  • Conduct multi-source synthesis and integration of data using databases and secondary research, ensuring timely stakeholder engagement and communication.
  • Blend technical analytics skills with strong domain and business understanding to support marketing and commercial organisations in making the right strategic decisions.
  • Build and maintain expertise on the market landscape in the context of the business through individual learning and regular team interactions.
  • Support broader team programmes, processes, and simplification initiatives as needed.

Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role

  • 10–12 years of experience in market research, analytics, customer experience, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a team lead or senior individual contributor role.
  • Good tenure within a recognised global consulting practice.
  • Post Graduate MBA or MSc Business or Management discipline will be required from a recognised International Business School.
  • Strong proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including the design and execution of comprehensive research plans.
  • Demonstrated experience in market sizing, landscaping, workflow analysis, and pricing analysis.
  • Proficiency in Excel-based analysis and the ability to link multiple data sources to surface impactful insights.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with external vendors and research partners.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence at a senior level.
